Each group of units is represented by a single character, so if you have seven archers, you will have an archer with seven life bars, each drained one at a time. Encounters bring you into battle on a hex grid with all your units. The stages are navigated with a map, each spot on the map carries either a shop, troops to recruit, or encounters. All three games are playable from the start, though the second and third games appear to be locked as it recommends you play them in order. The Difficulty can be changed at any time during the game from one of three difficulties. The games are very simplistic in design, making it easy for even those new to Strategy games to drop in and enjoy it.
